Spring Sneezes

Oh spring, how I love thee. Let me count the ways. I love your blooming trees of white and pink. I love your bulbs that pop up in every color. I love the birds chirping good morning. I love all the pollen that swishes all in the air that makes me go.....ahhhhhhhchoooooooooo!
Now I remember why spring is not my favorite season. I'm sure I would feel much differently if I didn't have allergies to all the beautiful blooms around me. That means I'm allergic to beauty, right?
Calvin makes me laugh, I feel like my head is going to come off one of these times. I heard a thing on tv that women with long hair should wash their hair more frequently if they have allergies because all the pollen sticks to your hair. I thought that was very interesting. I'm sure that's the same for animals too. They go outside and they get all the pollen on them and bring it in the house. It's everywhere! Attack of the pollen!
While we were on the subject of sneezing, my favorite book growing up was Because a Little Bug Went Kachoo!. The book talks about a little bug sneezing and all the things that are affected because of that sneeze. It causes a chain reaction and it winds up sending the whole town into chaos! Maybe my favorite part of the book was hearing my mom or dad act it out as we read.
And then there's nothing better then that face you make before you sneeze. We all know that face...your face scrunches up and you try to hold it back which makes your face even more crazy looking.

Some sneezes are so cute they make you laugh. Like this video of a baby elephant sneezing and scaring himself. So cute. http://youtu.be/gtIz1u8g1F0 Well happy sneezing too all and to all a good weekend! Now go take your claritin, allegra, zyrtec and nasonex before things get too crazy.

Wedge Season is Approaching!

My favorite shoes to wear in the summer are wedges. Wedges are easier to walk in the heels and they give you height and a nice leg line and they show off your beautifully pedicured toes! I'm looking in magazines and catalogs and all the wedges are staring me in the face. Believe me I have plenty of shoes, what do I need more for? I can look though right? These are the shoes I'm lusting after right now. Seychelles 'How do you do' wedges. I love the color along with the polka dots and the cute T-strap ruffles down the front. I hardly ever wear yellow, but it could go with turquoise, pink, purple, blue...anything really.
I actually really like this brand of wedge. These are the shoes I bought two years ago and they are still in great shape.
They have a similar shoe out this season. I love the pewter color. These are called 'Midas Touch'
I also like these TOMS called 'Cruz'. I have yet to own a pair of these shoes, but I'm really liking these wedges. They look comfortable and fun and give a little bit of height.
And for a more dressy looking wedge I like Ivanka Trump's 'Brisa' wedges. And I also like these Michael Kors 'Vivian' wedges pictured here! There are a little more expensive, but I think they're beautiful.
But for today, I'm wearing my tennis shoes because it's a gloomy first day of April and it's 51 degrees. Hope you don't get April Fooled, on this first day of April!

Spring Time in the City

I went into the city yesterday and it was beautiful, a little cloudy, but still the temperature was perfect. I got there right before 5 and it was already "rush hour", there were soooo many people!

I was in the Flat Iron District area and there is a Shake Shack there. I had heard that they had good burgers so I had to check it out. I asked the lady in line what she liked here. She said the Shack Burger was good, but everything was good and said she was getting a shake. I decided I would just stick with the signature burger and fries.

I have to say it was really good, everything tasted fresh and since it was such a wonderful day, sitting in the park was a perfect way to enjoy it.

My view of the Empire State Building.

My view of the statue in Madison Square Park, where the Shake Shack was located.

I also took a picture on my walk to my appointment around Gramercy Park. I thought this fence was beautiful and the little yellow flowered vine wrapped around it was so pretty.

I love the flowers in the spring everything looks so pretty, but I can't wait for the leaves on the trees to come out! I love walking out the door and seeing something new bloomed outside. I can see some of the plants coming up in the yard and the leaves on the bushes are starting to come out.

Spring Time

Yesterday was the first day of Spring. And it was lovely!
I took the dogs to the park and enjoyed some sunshine and they enjoyed some sniffing around and some fetch.

Also my little Coco girl is a sun goddess, she could sit in the sun all day.

My plan was to sit in the park and read my book...but that never happened. Rocky was tired for maybe 30 seconds and then he wanted to play again.

How could I say no to that face though?!

There's a track right near where I was sitting and there were SO MANY PEOPLE walking/running/biking. Everyone was enjoying this wonderful spring day. Even though it's been a mild winter, everyone is excited for weather that means no jackets!

The other day I was in the city and all the bulb flowers are blooming! Here are some daffodils along the street.

My neighbors have some beautiful blooms as well. Hyacinth I believe their called. When I walk by they smell so good. Even the trees are starting to come alive. Loving it!
