Gorgeous Sunset

Last night I noticed the sky was an amazing color as the sun was going down. But from where I live I can't actually see the sun setting. I ended up taking the dog for a little walk and never caught the sun, but the sky was still fruitfully colorful. I took a couple pictures and hoped that they came out...its not easy taking pictures with a boston terrier dragging you along. I got back into the house and went directly to the computer to see my results. All it takes is to get one great shot right? The moon shot that I got was pretty good, but I didn't sit there and get a really good close shot because I knew it would be a waste with the dog taking me for a walk, but I still think its some what pretty.
Obviously the sky straight up in the air wasn't as fantastic as the sky that was following the sun around to the other side of the earth. I kept flipping through and there was one shot that I was looking over a small hill that was pretty good.
That orangecicle sky was just delicious.
I know I had walked on further and I know I got the magical shot that I was looking for, because even though the dog was pulling to walk on, I made him stop because I saw it, a beautiful shot that was waiting to be taken.
And there she is, beautiful. At least that's my opinion and maybe it is more beautiful to me because I saw it in person but I knew it was something to be shared. I love those moments that are captured and it lets you relive the way it made you feel. Enjoy.

Love and Hate

It's one of those days where the humidity is so high that the air conditioner has to be on or you think you'll go crazy. I step outside and the warm air wraps around me like a blanket. But then it proceeds to choke me until I can't handle it any longer and I have to go back inside which at first feels fantastic. The icy air releases you from the grips of the heat and lets you fly again like a bird. But soon enough that frigid air starts to get to you. It turns into an ice box and you start chanting like you're in an episode of Game of Thrones, "Winter is Coming." But winter is not coming! It's actually summer that's coming.
I come from a place in California that is on the coast and it never gets too hot and it never gets too cold. So this drastic changing makes me think I might be going mad...mad hatter style. One day my hair will be bright orange and my make-up will be pastey and I'll drink hot tea with a rabbit who hasn't got the time. I'm late, I'm late, I'm late....
Oh A/C how much I love and hate you. One day it will all make sense and I will stop complaining.
It's So Hot . . .
How Hot Is It ???
It's so hot I actually felt emotionally close to our air conditioner this morning. It completes me.

One Word

Can you describe yourself in one word? I'm having a hard time with it. At first I was thinking caring, but then I think caring would be someone that stops to help everyone and I don't do that all the time. Then I was thinking talented, but then I don't like to boast. I'm not humble because I do like compliments. I thought maybe I was sassy, but I'm only sassy with people I know...so does that make me shy. Definitely not shy. How about goddess, that covers everything right? Then there are the times I can be bitchy...but isn't almost everyone...at least once a month. I'm not mysterious because I pretty much wear my heart on my sleeve. Emotional? No, I'm too grounded to be emotional. Creative, yes, but not to the point of being all over the place.
Okay now that I've written all that out I'm realizing I'm more like my zodiac sign, which is an earth sign. Taurus. I'm grounded, loyal, sweet, pretty much easy going unless you get me angry and I'm stubborn. Like Ferdinand on the beautiful meadows filled with grass smelling the roses...and then he gets angry when stung by a bee! So can you put all that into one word that isn't a zodiac symbol or a story book character?
How about over thinking...is that a word? I think I'm over thinking this whole thing, I mean there can't possibly be a word that describes us at every moment and at every day and at every point in our lives. Like when we were 10 we could be one description then when we are 30 a totally different description.
So what would you say is your word that best describes you...or if you're like me and can't pick just one, what are a couple! :o)

My Pup

Unconditional love from your dog is one of the best things in the world. No matter what they're there to cuddle with you and be there for you.
"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face." - Ben Williams
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater... suggest that he wear a tail. ~Fran Lebowitz
If my dog would speak she would say this, but you know, I only do it for her own good in the winter or when it's raining, but when we get back inside she wants it off as soon as possible.
Ever wonder where you'd end up if you took your dog for a walk and never once pulled back on the leash? ~Robert Brault, www.robertbrault.com
I thought this was a great quote. I think I would end up with her sitting in the sun in the grass. Of course if it's raining outside we wouldn't even get out the front door. haha
My little sun goddess.
Can't imagine not having her.
